I'll be going, but probably only on Saturday. Trowa can't accompany me because of the play. I'll probably visit ariesd in the hospital after work on Friday, and I have a Breast Cancer 3-Day event to attend in Waltham on Sunday. And since I didn't know my schedule far enough ahead of time to be able to volunteer early, in conjunction with rising ticket ( Read more... )

oh right. neffa.

you know, it's weird. i hated missing it the first time. and well, since then, feh. mansfield is a lose. then i realized, the spark is gone.

then i missed falcon ridge last summer with the suck. jury is out on that.

then i missed other things. mmm.

i wonder what strange new things are opening up as a result?

well, i know of one in particular, anyway, and it's taking me to atlanta. just have to figure out how to get there cheap like.

*nod* Sometimes we grow and change and learn to love different things than we used to. What's the thing in Atlanta?

We missed Falcon Ridge last year because of poor planning and finances, and I was sad. Then the torrential rains and the tornado hit, and suddenly I was grateful not to have been caught in that mess.

Sure, that could work. Feel free to tell me when you know. I probably won't manage to leave in time to get there by opening, but ideally I would want to leave sometime before noon. Sometimes I manage to wake up earlier when I know someone else is expecting me. :-}

My plan would be to stay until closing, unless I end up with enough hip or knee pain to make that inadvisable (I'll be doing my PT exercises all week to try to stave that off!).

I have gone to only the one in Natick, and I confess the crowding was simply too much for me; it took me 10 minutes to walk *down the hall* to get to quiet space. Not such a good idea for me, though I hope you have fun:)

It certainly can get really crowded. That's made worse by inclement weather, too; when it's nice out, at least people tend to relax and eat lunch outside on the grass, freeing up space indoors.

The festival is now held in the Mansfield middle and high schools. Since they are two adjacent buildings, the crowd is necessarily broken up a bit, but it can still be fairly crowded in either one at any given time.
