This is from a day spent at Joshua Tree National Park in February 1999. The weather was clear, but cold and windy. I was fascinated by the austere beauty of the strange Joshua trees, the windswept boulders, rock arches, and views of the Salton Sea and Sonoran Desert. It's a beautiful place, and I'd love to go back in warmer weather.
