well, it was a good run while it lasted
I knew I shouldn't have mentioned that I hadn't been sick in a really long time. Clearly, I tempted fate. Because yesterday I felt that sharp sensation in my nostrils that heralded the onset of a head cold, and today I woke up undeniably afflicted with said head cold. *sigh*
At least it's just in my nose, with attendant ear congestion. I don't have a sore throat, a fever, or aches. If this had to be my first bout of illness in a year, it's astonishingly mild, especially considering that I've been exposed many times this winter to some pretty nasty illnesses and have spent more days watching over loved ones in hospitals (and being exposed to lord-knows-what) over the last year than I care to contemplate. I still think all that vitamin D I've been pounding has had a great deal of benefit. In previous years I would have been sick on several occasions over the same span of time.
