We are in NYC, city of awesomeness. Yesterday in a nutshell:
Took subway to Union Sq. and walked to Otafuku to meet
kimberlogic for the afternoon, had tasty okonomiyaki and yakisoba for lunch, then walked around through a street fair and the largest Halloween costume shop I've ever seen. Had way too much chocolate stuff at Max Brenner, then walked K. back to her car.
Walked to Times Square, bummed around a bit, had cocktails in the 48th-floor revolving restaurant and lounge in the Times Square Marriott. Took a cab down to Supermac, as we had to try a place that makes 13 varieties of mac and cheese, then walked back up to Rockefeller Center with the intention of going to Morrell's Wine Bar. Sadly, it was closed, so we had caipirinhas at the Rink Bar and then, at my instigation, walked all the way back to the apartment. That's at 92nd and 3rd. We walked 75% of the length of Central Park.
Total distance walked yesterday: about 8.2 miles. Oh, my aching hips and feet! But it was worth it. Who says NYC isn't a walking city? :)
