Batgirl

So I have been obsessing over the fact that they are bringing Barbara Gordon in for the new Batman Movie, "the Dark Knight".  I have been having long and passionate discussions about how it is Way WAY WAY to soon to bring in Barbra Gordon. It was posted on IMDB that a woman has been cast as Barbara Gordon.  Barbara Gordon eventually becomes Batgirl and everyone knows that you have to go through at least one Robin before you can have a Batgirl.  Robin eventually moves on to bigger and better things and he is replaced by a new boy wonder and a very young Barbara Gordon, who proves her worth to Batmans and eventually joins the team.  This is a pretty consistent story line in the Batman universe. It was just way too soon for a Batgirl.  But my Faith in David Goyer and Chrisopher Nolan have been reinstated.  It turns out that the Barbara Gordon in the new movie is James Gordon's (or Commissioner Gordon's) wife, not his daughter.  So this particular Barbara Gordon is Batgirls mother.  Batgirl is still a toddler and now I can go back to focusing on important things, like work.  Glad I got that off my chest.
