This is the second of two days off in a row. I've done like everything I need to get done and more. I don't know what to do with myself on off days from work. Most of my home friends are busy right now with graduation stuff and I don't really hang out with anyone who's already graduated...like my old classmates. So i just kind of hang around the house and do stuff for my parents. I visited my grandparents a few times. I've had my new car for a week tomorrow and i've put close to 500 miles on it already, and I haven't really even gone far, at all. So my solution to this?...possibly picking up more hours at a Dunkins in Tewksbury. The manager there seems to know what she's doing and she needs flexible help about 25 hours a week. She's supposed to call me by Saturday and let me know. If she hires me I'm going to drop from 5 days at Nashua to 4, and do 3 at Tewksbury. Yes thats working 7 days (or about 55 hours) a week at Dunkin Donuts but thats okay. I honestly like working at Dunkin Donuts, so long as the other people I work with know what their doing.
Speaking of that, my manager in nashua, sam, does not. He complains to me that the floor is dirty when the reason its dirty is because HE needs to order new mop heads. Or accuses me and the other girl i closed with of not even looking at the coffee wall (the display of the pounds of coffee for sale in the lobby) when I clearly went out there and organized it all and stocked what I could because HE needs to order more pounds of coffee. Or complains that we didn't prep the sandwich eggs when we don't have any because...you guessed it...he didn't order any, but we have 3 boxes of omelet eggs that almost no customers ask for!
Okay so as you can tell the nashua store is a shit show. The only readon I don't leave is because i'm gonna leave in august anyway to go back to school (or to the new school if i decide to). But ya know...so long as it pays the bills.
paying bills... working 40 hours/week thru the summer will actually pay them, but i'd like to leave myself a little lee way, that and the fact that i don't know what to do with myself on off days is the reason that I'm trying to pick up hours at the tewksury store.
The tewksbury store is small. Inside a gas station, no sanwiches or lattes, just coffe, iced coffee, coolattas, and bakery items.
All in all i'm good though. so i shouldn't complain.
