The Hamish Watson-Holmes Verse → Five months after Sherlock's apparent suicide Mycroft came to John with a new born baby, couldn't be more than a few days old, and explained to the doctor that the baby was the son of Sherlock Holmes. Mycroft even had the DNA tests to prove it. Before Sherlock's fall John and him had been dancing around the idea of a relationship that went beyond friendship. They new they cared deeply for each other and even loved each other. Thus John took in the baby and started raising him. The boy, Hamish, looks exactly like Sherlock. Once settling into having a son John got a job working as an EMT, when he's on call Mrs. Hudson looks after Hamish or a Mycroft provided nanny.
