(no subject)
Well its been quite a longtime since I have updated.
This has been a pretty blah summer, I have been working about 5 days a week at Newmart this summer. I also am filling in on trombone for the Penn Central Wind Band, they rehearse in Lewisberg about 80-90 miles away. Mr. Woodruff got me the gig and I am greatly honored to have the gig since I am playing 1st and 2nd trombone parts when its my first time playing with the group.
I also recently had a trip down memory lane. I got to relive playing at Cafe Metropolis with The Silent Groove. Matt suggested to them that they play an old 8oz Joe song, and then asked me to play trombone for it. I was ecstatic to do so. It was a lot of fun playing there again, I hope it happens again sooon.
This rain has been a downer lately, there is nothing really to do when it does rain but sit inside, read or practice. Noot that that stuff is all that bad, but it seems to be causing a case of cabin fever.
I am currently reading a book by Haruki Murakami called Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. Ive been reading it since the spring semester but with school and now work I havent had much time to get through it. Also being Murakami it is sort of a tough read, THe book is two stories going on at the same time, one chapter is one story then then next the other and yadda yadda yadda. Ive been going up to Barnes and Noble a lot recently and reading a lot of Charles Bukowski, Ill eventually buy one of his poetry books, but not until I finish the Murakami.
