Chapter 10
“So what are we doing today?” she asks with a very happy smile.
“I was told to go to a casting audition” he simply answers.
The fairy stares at him wide-eyed and starts prancing all around.
“A try-out? For a film? A drama? Are there any other celebrities? What’s the story about?”
Here she goes again. The non-stop talking is starting…
“Chiaki-chan… you have to calm down. It’s nothing special really. I think they want to adapt the manga X.”
“What!? You mean X by Clamp?”
“I think so…”
The fairy is literally sparkling now. She plants herself right in front of him.
“You know which part you’d be cast for?”
She looks so serious - as if it was a matter of life and death. He quickly scan the script he’s received.
“Apparently they’d like me to play the part of - Kamui.”
“You’re joking!?” she’s completely overexcited now, “Kamui is the heroe! Ma, ma〜 who’s playing Fuma?”
“Fu-fuma?
Gosh, she’s looking quite pissed off. She must be a Clamp fan. Somehow he’s not surprised.
“Tat-chan! Come on, Fuma is Kamui’s evil counter-part… and I’m just cutting a long story short… So do they say who’s cast for the part?”
“Let me check - They wrote the part went to Hideaki Takizawa -
“Tackey?!!” she says and then lets her mind wander for a moment.
“Do I have to be worried?” he asks half joking.
“You know you’re the one.”

Once they arrive at the studios, they are shown to a waiting room - well actually “he” is shown to the room as people can’t see Chiaki, which is a good thing because she’s either glued to him or prancing all around.
“Ueda-san?” someone calls out.
He faces the fairy.
“My go now. Can you wait?”
“Of course” she smiles, “I don’t want to distract you. G-A-N-B-A-T-T-E 〜”
The try out starts.

Although he didn’t expect what happens next. When he enters the room, darkness is everywhere. He can see some vague shadows on the ground. He doesn’t have time to understand what is going on as his head starts aching and he suddenly loses consciousness.

When he opens his eyes, the first person he sees is Hideaki Takizawa next to him. Though, strangely enough he realizes the man is not the sempai he knows.
“I see you’re awake Ueda-chan” he says.
He’s sure it’s not Tackey now.
“Who are you?”
The guy starts laughing.
“My 〜 aren’t you a clever one? - well, you’re right. I’m not Takizawa 〜 ma〜 having said that I have to admit I love his looks 〜 they suit me.”
He’s still laughing. Ueda would like to move but he realizes he’s all tied up. Crap. Chiaki-chan? He has to call her. He won’t play the hero. The situation is bad enough.
“Chiaki-chan! Sumeragi Chiaki!”
But nothing happens. The man in front of him shakes his head.
“So it was true. Sumeragi-same protects you -” He comes closer and seizes Ueda’s face. “You can shout as much as you like, she won’t help you. The kekai I created will prevent even her from finding you. Isn’t it sad?” he adds, sarcastically.
He pauses and smiles.
“Although - I could also let you go now…”
He’s gently caressing the young man’s face.
“… you just have to give me your eyes.”
That’s what it is all about. Somehow, Ueda’s not surprised.
“Go to hell!”
“Ok” the man answers in a detached tone. “I don’t mind going to hell actually and I don’t mind a little challenge either.”
He bends over and kisses him. Ueda is so taken aback that he doesn’t react.
“You’ll give them to me - eventually.”
