Rush of Knowledge

It is not always possible to determine
whether one is doing something which will
eventually prove constructive or where his
constructive tasks may be leading him.
It is easier to declare a time for building than
it is to know exactly what we must build and
how to go about it. Like every creative process,
building requires giving as well as taking
away, putting together as well as taking apart.
One must uproot something in order to build.

A time to build in a different way has come in
our lifetime, a time to build other buildings,
find other paths, live other styles of life, love
with a new set of categories. A time has come
when all of us are asked to build fewer walls
and a few more bridges.
