Update
Summer had her cerebral angiogram on Friday. She got sick from the anesthesia. She was up all night and even early into today n&v.
She does have an AVM of the vein of Galen. She wil have to have surgery, they will discuss options and contact me in a few days. I am just tired....
I am so ready for the next phase of our lives...
Mentally I am spent!!!!! I want to scream ENOUGH already!!! However, honestly I do not have the energy to even yell it out.
I feel like we live at UVA. However we are getting to know the staff really well and I know the hospital in andout at this point. Summer has the best staff tending for her. I met a really nice guy that was her Nurse during the procedure. He was great, very caring and attentive to her needs as well as mine. He has an excellent bedside manner, in nursing that is a valued trait to find. Not everyone has that "touch" and most men in nursing do not have it. Even my mom was very impressed with the care he gave. Didn't hurt he was also cute. But his personality was the winner!
We have been very lucky, most of the staff we have had at UVA have all been above approach with us and her during all of our trips there. The staff has really been kind and compassionate. For me that makes all the difference.
