Buy the baseball. It will end up being worthwhile, you don't spend much on indulgences, and you never know when you might want to share that log in with others who may be trapped at work on a laptop, wanting to see the outcome of a play off or world series game. You love baseball.

When I go from Hanoi to Saigon for a few days, I travel very light. Especially when I forget to pack underwear. I only had a backpack and a laptop bag, easy to carry.
