G. Dubya on backing an amendment to ban gay marriage:
"As this debate goes forward, we must remember that every American deserves to be treated with tolerance, respect and dignity," he said. "All of us have a duty to conduct this discussion with civility and decency toward one another, and all people deserve to have their voices heard."
What I think he actually meant was:
"As this debate goes forward, we must remember that almost every American deserves to be treated with tolerance, respect and dignity," he said. "All of us have a duty to conduct this discussion with civility and decency toward one another, and all people deserve to have their voices heard unless you are gay/lesbian or for gay/lesbian rights, then we just don't care and wish all you faggots would die."
