Random thoughts on my move
I think my new roommate/landlord has the most blandest personality of anyone I may have met. He's a little too quiet and is not much of a conversationalist..pretty much all I know about him is that he doesn't really care for his dog (had more negative things to say about it than positive; nevermind when the last time the dog's dishes were cleaned) and he watches TV - a lot of TV. And most of it isn't very good either. Mostly sports and programs that have no particular interest to me..just recently got access to G4 and I'm in geek-love with it..although I think the programming is for a slightly younger crowd..just trying to figure out why they air sooo much shows like Cops and Cheaters..
On the plus side though, my room is almost completely setup. I still gotta figure out how to block more light from coming into the windows during the morning and where to put the plastic dresser (the ones that college kids get for their dorms) I got just for this particular move and other small things. With my luck, if I brought an actual dresser, that too, would have been damaged during the move.
I think I may have spent too much on stuff at Bed, Bath & Beyond that I really didn't have to..mostly it was all bedding. I decided to get a little fancy and get this special type of bedding that after 2 nights, it's starting to feel like shit and probably won't last more than 5 washes..can't remember the name of this particular type..but next time, I should remember to nab some plain old cotton sheets from walmart..the lumpy mattress topper isn't that great either but I'm only gonna assume that I won't be able to return it as it's probably gonna be considered "used" and non-returnable (that and I think I threw away the container for it - it would be pretty sweet if I could return it)..
