I never would have guessed you for a Saints fan. I adore the first one. Mike and I went and saw All Saints Day in the hopes that it'd live up to the original. While objectively, it was NOT a good movie, it did have some very good moments which left both of us laughing embarrassingly loud in the theater.
The film would have been much improved with more Willem Dafoe.
Hot Irish twins with amusing gay pursuer/sidekick, idiotic yet good hearted sidekick.
The violence is unapologetically gratuitous, but so over the top it was hard to get sqeamish. And I was the among the first in my college friends to see it, so every subsequent viewing I got to sit and giggle with the others who knew what was coming, trying to keep a lid on it for 10 minutes leading up to the cat scene- waiting too see the reaction of the newbies instead of watching the movie. Which was horrifying, and awful, and yet I couldn't help but laugh, and then be horrified again.
I found the movie because a co-worker was friends with the director, Troy Duffy. Interestingly enough, she too mentioned the hot irish twins as the first selling point of it. Turns out it also included 2hrs of unapologetic WrongBadFun.

I've got the original on bluray. We should get together and watch it again.

Yes it definitely could have used more Dafoe.

I have a soft spot in my heart for dark comedy.
