Movie reviews.

Well, with the long weekend I got around to seeing a couple of movies with my mum. Only one of which I really wanted to see but both were good.

First we saw 'Cinderella Man' on Friday, the movie I didn't want to see. I'm not a Russell fan, I liked him the best when he was in 'A Beautiful Mind.' I've heard so many people say that he did a great acting job in CM and that he deserves an award. We'll let the academy decide on that. What I would like to strongly recommend is the multiple actors in the movie. Paul Giamatti and Renee Zellweger were wonderful, they pulled on my heartstrings, and I fell for Craig Bierko, who I must say was very convincing as a-hole. So don't just go for the wonderful acting job Crowe gave but the acting that Giamatti, Zellweger, Bierko AND Crowe did.

Now for the movie I've been wanting to see, Crash. An ensemble cast that didn't just have good acting but a story that connected all of the characters to one another. I was pleasantly surprised by Ludacriss, he did a good job with his role. Most of these characters wouldn't be people that anyone would say that they could empathise with but they aren't wholly amoral people. I'm not sure if I would rate it as a great movie but it does make you think, about people and their prejudices and why people do the things they do. I thoroughly enjoyed it but I don't know if anyone else would.

The only bad thing is that one movie I wanted to see a month or so ago doesn't seem to be in theatres anymore. Either I have to look at other theatres or wait until it comes out on dvd. *Sigh*
