Something that's been bothering me for a while:
Empire is not the LRP messiah. It's a nice idea (and, of course the orc brief is outstanding...) but that's all it is. When people get there, I can't wait to see the look on their faces as they realise that many of the other players are really fucking irritating nerds, and that this isn't somehow the magic answer to all our LRP wet dreams: it's a bit prescriptive, very open to nepotism and is getting more elitist day by day.
While I'm at it, the leaders of this second coming are good at what they do and interesting people. That makes them no different from the vast majority of my friends; I don't spend my life trying to insert my head up my friends' arses, and I have no intention of doing so with people simply because they had a nice idea.
So I feel it's only fair to liberate myself; really do something so extreme and controversial no-one would expect it. You may find this shocking.
