Sevendust for meeeee
Got a late start, as usual, but eventually we were on our way to Jacksonville, praying that the car would hold up. Hit traffic as soon as we got off 95, and it was already about 5pm by this time, so we were starting to stress about getting to the venue before doors. Finally made it through the parking lot that's normally a road and got to Plush a little before 6pm. A bunch of people were in line already. About 7pm they started letting people in. We had to go to will-call since we got out tickets so late, and when we got up there they had the nerve to tell us that they didn't have the will-call list yet and we'd have to go back outside and they'd signal us when they got it. Pretty pissed by this time but there was nothing we could do, so we went back outside and watched everybody and their brother go past us into the venue. Finally heard that they had the list by word of mouth and the bouncer tells us and the couple of guys who were also waiting that we had to go to the end of the line (the guest list, purchasing, and will-call list line) which put us even further behind everyone else. NOT happy with the bullshit and lack of organization at this place. Finally get in and go to the bar, right as the bartender says he'll be right back and leaves for 10 minutes. Bastard. They also didn't have any good beer. Assholes. So we get a beer and head in and sure enough, the floor has people pretty far back, so we stood on the side by the sound board so we could see (this place was tall and narrow) We had a good view from there since the floor was a good bit below the stage. Josh Todd was already playing by the time we got in there, of course we had to call Ellen and let her listen. After he went off, Element Eighty went on, and the place filled up some more. Il Nino was the same as the other times that we've seen them.... Time for SEVENDUST. They were great, of course. Vinnie sang a lot more than he usually does (which is mostly not at all). Went to go find water after the set and decided to get the heck out of there since we had a few hours to drive back and I had to go to work.
