(no subject)
Last Thursday I was at work hanging out with Mia in the yard....I set the sprinkler up for her and she was having a great time. I decided to put my swimsuit on as well as it was warming up quickly. I was sitting in a lawn chair when someone came up behind me...it was MY BOSS!! It wasn't even 11 am yet and he was home already and I got caught in my bikini at WORK!! How embarrassing!! He didn't say anything about it and he went back in the house to get something for Mia so I hurried and threw my clothes back on. I felt like such a dork!
We started laying down our hardwood floors over the weekend. They are looking really good. The living room, hallway, master bedroom and part of the other two bedrooms are done. It's going quicker than I thought and it's getting exciting- we will be able to pick out some furniture and move upstairs before too long! We do have a bit to do before then though. We need moulding, doors and frames, vent covers, switch/outlet covers etc. I have friday off so hopefully I will be productive and get the kitchen cupboards finished (painting) I'm tired of looking at them half done!
Aside from all the work over the weekend, we spent quite a bit of time at the casino too and made over $500. It's nice that we are pretty consistantly able to do that. And it's good entertainment to boot!
Friday we went to see Ken at Virginia Mason. He was in a lot of pain as he had just had his lung proccedure done the day before. He came home late Sunday and hopefully he'll be able to stay home for awhile now. I believe he will be starting chemo soon. Joan and the kids started counciling on Saturday. I hope that helps them...they have so much to deal with right now- it's heartbreaking! Lance is going over there tonight. I never know if he wants me to go or doesn't. We've been a little cranky to each other over the past few days. I hate things being that way.
I'm sure we will both go over for a visit this weekend. I don't think there will be much work done on the floors- Dan will be out of town. We do have to go pick out our stair railing and some other stuff at Lowe's though. We've got the free roll on Sunday but aside from that I don't think we really have any plans. Hopefully we'll be able to spend some "quality" time together just the two of us this weekend. I miss the days where we just layed around in the mornings and didn't have anything to do....
