Okay, so I know a lot of people (okay, so about 2) have been all, "Oh, so now that it's summer, you're going to have more time to write, yeah?" About that . . . Here's all the stuff I have going on this summer:
- finding a job and working
- Daniel camp Mon-Wed-Fri for the next two weeks
- senior pictures that I need to plan three outfits for :(
- visiting colleges
- summer reading
And here's some stuff I want to add in to the summer if I can find the time:
- actually sewing that shirt that I cut the pieces for a few months ago
- cross stitch!!!
- reading good things
- INTERWEBS!!!!! (I cannot live without them)
- trying new writing styles since I supposedly have more free time now
- finishing Minotaur
- starting the Sidhe
- maneuvering everything possible in my head in an attempt to make a third Minotaur book in hopes of having a trilogy (deep down, a really good trilogy is every writer's goal; just look at LotR and Scott Westerfield)
- lounging about the pool with a fruity drink with one of those little umbrellas (because that's totally what seniors do over the summer)
So as to writing, I'll work on that as soon as I get time and inspiration and feel that I can write something non-crappy.
Also, some of you may have noticed that I'm no longer writing to Zombie Sir Francis Drake. Seriously, he's buried in a lead coffin in the Pacific, and I don't think he's writing back any time soon. Also, I kind of got bored with the idea.
I am still trying to do some writing, but it's mostly just going with the ideas in order to try new things with writing and hope that they'll help when I rewrite Other. Because, dammit, that's supposed to be my masterpiece, and it is not going to be crappy again! It's going to be a classic in twenty or so years if I have any say in the matter, and that means adding things like symbolism and motifs and deep hidden meaning, so that's what I'm going to do!
