Dear Zombie Sir Francis Drake,
Yes, I realize how long it's been since I posted, but I honestly haven't had much to say lately, let alone time to say it in. However, I come bringing goodies:
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=15789174 This be the link to Fortitude's myspace; I saw them last night at The Pit, and it was like all my hopes and dreams about music were just plucked out of my head and stuck on a stage. Not to mention the fact that the bassist looked like Orlando Bloom with dreadlocks; I know that sounds totally weird, but it turns out AMAZING. :) Even if he has kind of a concave butt. As Mel put it, "someone stole his butt!" They sound a lot like Incubus, but better if that's even possible.
Also, check out the RPG that
lilypetershas started; it's basically what if Charles Dickens characters lived in modern day NYC, and I get to be Estelle. She's fun in a vicious sort of way.
For those of you who still bother to read Minotaur, it's not dead; I just haven't had much time to write or post lately. I think I might have some ficlets written that haven't been typed or posted yet, so keep an eye out for those. However, it might take a while for this to get done; I give it six months at the longest. The reason for the delay is that I'm having a bit of trouble deciding where to end, because the sequel takes place pretty much directly after Minotaur ends. But those of you who like
lilypeters' Far Away story with Wallace will love it; trust me on that one. It's like that only this time it's the girl going after the guy, and the guy has pretty much no idea that the girl even exists. There's TV and amnesia and one true love and lots and lots of purple; what could go wrong?
And I have taken up piano and cross stitch again! Well, technically keyboard in my case, because pianos only sound decently in Rent, classical music, church music, and Christmas songs. Everything else requires a keyboard, so I have ressureccted mine only to realize that we have lost the stand and the A/C adapter and that RadioShack no longer sells the A/C adapter for my keyboard; it's kind of old. :( But this means that I need suggestions on good bands that use keyboard, so I can find some music to play; I have lost my patience for the classical stuff that I was playing when I last played piano. Preferably not Evanescence, because if I start playing that, I might accidentally become a Mary Sue. As to cross stitch, I am currently working on a kick-ass pattern that is bigger than my head! It's got the sun and the moon and a couple of constellations and a planet and a galaxy and stars and stuff, and it is looking crazy spiffy so far. Why did I begin this? Because we now have a Michael's near my house, and it is full of AMAZING. They have EDIBLE GLITTER. YEAH. I plan to use some on the glaze for the cupcakes I plan to make for the PRISM bake sale: lemon chiffon cupcakes with a frosty lemon glaze mixed with lavender edible glitter. And the frosty lemon glaze has a major lemon punch to it. :D
So yeah, I hope that catches yall up on what's been happening in the world of Gin.
Your friend amongst the living,
-GC
