Test panels for Minou, a short (25 pages) comic I wrote and thumbnailed last year. In a kick against my flagging digital art skills, I'm pondering making the whole thing in this collaged style. Admittedly, this is kind of off the cuff and not as well planned out as it could be, but opinions and criticisms are very welcome. This would be one large (half page-ish) panel. Think the style would work? I'm considering using this general pallete, but with a wider variety of textures etc. Not all panels will be this dark, obv, as this is a night scene.
The story is based on my favourite fable, "Venus and the Cat". If you don't want to know the gist of the story before I write it, don't go googling it :P.
I think the weakest part of the image over all is actually the cat's design. :/ I'm thinking maybe a medium grey paper with black outlines would read better than white lines on black.
