I just recently got my hair dreaded - The process was rather uncomfortable; and it took a pretty long time (about six to seven hours), but Meghan and Sarah did a really great job on them. Even though I wouldn't consider them bonafide dreads yet; I will say this : Everyday they seem to be getting tighter - the first day or two; it just feels like you have slimy shit in your hair; and that takes a little getting used to. I haven't used wax since day one, but I've used tightening gel here and there just to keep them in line. Every now and then they itch like hell (especially when I'm sweating and working hard), but I'll have to get used to it. I have to wait a week before I can actually wash my hair; and I'm only on day 3. Wish me luck.
School starts soon - I still need to register for classes and get books. I worked my ass off this summer for tuition money; so I feel like I deserve it. Things are starting to fall in line, and I am thankful for that - and I am also thankful for a mother and father that believe in my dreams and support me %100.
Chris and Carly have been around - and I've been having a great time with them. We've been working on stuff Meghan's mom has been wanting done for the longest time; and we've also been hanging out watching movies and bullshitting.
Things have been looking up - If anyone thinks I'm upset or in a bad mood lately; its because I just want my dreads to fall in line and start to look good. I sort of regretted doing what I did to my hair; but when I think about the uniqueness and the history behind dreadlocks; I begin to feel like it was worth it.
