First off, I'm sorry about all the problems with the cuts and stuff, and thanks for resubmitting!

And I have to say, I LOVE your letters! The short exchange works so well for them, and it tells a story deeper than the actual words. I love how you showed us with those few words how much Dudley had grown from his experience, and Harry was slowly coming to terms with everything, and I liked that these letters seemed to be helping both of them.

The end of the fic was excellent, too - it reminded me of the style in which PS started, and it fit perfectly.

Great job!

Thanks! And don't worry about the formatting issues -- the Internet has not been my friend today. Normally, I use Internet Explorer for my browser, but lately, I've had to post all my stuff with Mozilla or Safari, because Explorer has developed the tendency of eating all my posts and doing wacked-out things with my formatting, and it's gone way beyond irritating. Grr. So most of it had my web browser, and not yourself, to blame.

I'm glad you liked the story! I was having the worst time getting Harry and Dudley in character, and that's when a friend suggested trying letters instead of an actual encounter, and after that, the story just wrote itself!

I'm also really glad to hear that my style invoked exactly what it was supposed to! I was really trying to capture the PS style with my ending, and it's a huge ego boost to hear that it worked! :) Thanks again!

I don't believe it'd be an exaggeration to say that I think this is one of the best post-DH fics I've read yet. (And yeah, I've read my share, lol.)

Well done!

Very well written. I love Harry-reconciles-with-various-Dursleys fics. I particularly liked the letters and the idea of Dudley reading *grins*

That was really good. The exchange of letters, as a format, worked very well and I liked the way you have interleaved two threads through the bodies of the letters and the postscripts.

It's hard to come up with convincing justifications for rehabilitating Dudley (or any of the Dursleys, really), and I think the idea that he was forced into reading by the lack of anything else to do with his time is a good one. And it's nice that, at eighteen, he's thinking for himself, is re-evaluating Harry and isn't prepared to be pushed around by his domineering father.

Oh, this is just excellent. I love your Harry, and you did a wonderful job with all of the Dursleys - Dudley especially, of course. Highly enjoyable!
