Other stuff? Who am I kidding. It's always about the kids!
We went to Disneyland yesterday after Cole got out of school. Well, I picked him up before he had his lunch and took him. I had a childhood friend that was visiting there with her 2 kids and really wanted to see them. We had a nice time, but it was freaken' hot and freaken' packed. Good old summer vacation. It's nice going with different people so it feels different for Cole. He got his face painted and we road Autopia. I wasn't sure if Nathan could go on, but he slept sitting between us on the seat the whole time as Cole "steered" us all over the place. :-) So now thanks to this friend and Tabby's visit last week, there are 2 new rides I can take both of the boys on if I go by myself with them again. Although, those trips will probably be fewer as it was pretty hard with Nathan now. He wants nothing to do with the stroller, but he doesn't just stand in line either. And he is becoming a master at head-butting when he isn't happy. Ouch!
Father's Day we went to
Natural History Museum. I took Cole earlier last week and he LOVED it, so much that he wanted to go back with Daddy. We had a really nice time. Cole was SO excited to have his Daddy there, he talked with such excitement and manners the whole time. It was so sweet, but sad too because he works SO freaken much, he rarely gets to do many things like that with us. They have an exhibit with butterflies flying free in a tented area that was really neat. I forgot to tell Cole not to touch them before going in and he started grabbing for them like they were bubbles! Noooo!!!!
But one thing we have been doing almost every night for the past 2 weeks is go on evening bike rides. We have one of those contraptions that strap onto the back of Jim's bike and the boys sit inside it with the 2 big wheels and the net over them. It's been really nice and they enjoy it too. Nathan's like a little siren because he "hums" the whole time unless it makes him pass out. And Cole is pretty tolerant of Nathan falling asleep on him. :-)
Well, that's my update. Nothing special really, just busy as usual.
