Okay, Atspace is acting up again, so we're forced to post the new pages of WBK here for now... :P Pages 228 (the real one!), 229 and 230. Yay, the world didn't explode after all!
(Even though I understand you might have other things on your mind at the moment...)
Yes - and then apart from that, this week has been crazy, crazy busy! I have no idea what's up with that, but I think I'm pretty happy about it. Less time to mope!
Would you mayhaps want to see the original three minute sketch of the clothes? :D I could scan.
Ooh, that'd be way cool! Scan ahead, please!
Thanks for interpreting things correctly and letting us know we're not going completely over people's heads!
Hey - you guys are the ones who are so fabulous at expressing things through art that I do get all that! It's not that I'm particularly good at looking at pictures or anything. It's that you guys do really good work!
Oh, and the family thing - it really is awesome! That's one of the sad thing with most TV & movies: you never see real families! So you start getting this weird kind of idea that people who are related don't need to look anything alike, but... they do, don't they? Even brothers and sisters do! So it's really cool that you're doing character designs based on the way real families look, and that you can identify who is related to whom before they're even introduced.
This is how our thumbnails and concept art etc actually looks. It's never more serious than this. God forbid we'd actually sharpen up and get serious! XD Please note how the purple lady accidentally got the shoulders of a middle-aged male wrestler (her name's now semi-officially Brottar-Britta). ^__^ Also some things were changed, such as hair color, but yeah, this is the stuff poor Mattias has to work from...
And poor Yonda is an alien, apparently. Ack.

I'm not so sure that doesn't play a part actually. :) But who knows...

Yeah, you're right! Hate to always bring up my fave show (okay, that was a lie, I love pimping it ^__^) but that's one of the great things about Alias - Jennifer Garner really DOES look like a 50-50 mix of Lena Olin and Victor Garber. It's perfect. Also, I think the Petrellis are well cast in that aspect!
Oooh, this is so cool! Wow! It's both really sketchy, and still I can totally see where Mattias gets the designs and the colors and everything! And the dresses really are lovely.
I also really appreciate that you think about your characters, and never take the easy route of just going with familiar stereotypes. It makes them feel much more real. ♥
