There are people who have lost their jobs or ended up in prison for things that they have written on the internet. Whilst freedom of speech is common, with rights come responsibilities.
It only takes an off-hand comment on a forum or a friend with a personal grudge and suddenly, the blog post you wrote in the heat of the moment has cost you everything.
