Do you know why I wanted that ring so bad? Because I wanted to know that you were in it enough to commit for a lifetime. But I'm starting to realize that I wouldn't have been satisfied with that for long. I lost that faith some time ago, and it would have taken more than some shiny rock to get that back. So I'm sorry, because I didn't know that what I had been striving for had nothing to do with what I really wanted.
