Remembering Spice Girls

Jun 15, 2007 01:21

Everyone is expecting a Spice Girls reunion. There is so much buzz about it. I am almost sick of hearing about it. I can not say either way on whether or not there will be one. Since all the buzz is going on, I went on youtube.com and was looking through some old videos and interviews.

Our first hit Wannabe was great. that was the beginning of things looking up for us as a group. Say You'll Be There was a great video but it really was mad when it came to making it. It was so hot out in the desert but we had a lot of fun. During the making of that video is when I revealed my tattoo. Then there was 2 Become 1 which is I think everyone's favourite when it comes to our slow songs. Mama is a good video. I really liked it because our mothers came for the video. We had loads of fun with this video. Who Do You Think You Are is a video where I can not believe we made sucha  video. The video is not my favourite by any means.

Spice Up Your Life was fun but I believe it is the most expensive video we made. It was mainly green screen shots. I really loved Stop. We had a lot of fun with the kids and each other. Too Much was fun but hard work. It was also the theme song to our move Spice World. Then there's the cop out video of Viva Forever.

Good videos, good times. The interviews were the best. There's this one with Clive James. This one really sticks out because of all the things we discussed. It was quite fun and hilarious. I think this is my favourite interview. Then the one where we are in New York. We discuss the movie and Prince Charles and Prince Harry. Then there's the dutch interview. I hated it. The guy was so unprofessional and talked horrible in front of the children. The Christmas 1996 with Des O'Connor interview was interesting. We loved it. When you go on that show, it's like you know you have made it big. This interview was madness. I was asked about my topless photos at the end. We even performed Wannabe as well. This interview was like a bit of an introduction to who we are. It's a bit boring. This interview was OLD. I mean November 1996 old. Look at the awful clothes. :/ There's the Girlie Show interview and advice which was fun. This interview was just days before I left Spice Girls. Victoria and Melanie C were flirting. I don't care what they say now or then but they were pretty handsy weren't they? This interview was done in Las Vegas during the 1997 Billboard Music Awards. We had our Spice Dolls plus I was dressed as Elvis. ;-) We got two awards during that show. Album of the Year - "Spice" and New Artist of the Year. This is a press conference in Sweden right before I left Spice Girls. We talked about the ups and downs of being a Spice Girl. This is the press conference that you can see I am clearly going to leave but I don't come out and say it.

I left in May of 1998. It was the hardest thing to do in my life but it was time to move on. Everyone speculates that it was Mel B's fault and that she made me quit. I will let everyone keep thinking what they want. The 5 of us know everything behind it all.

Here it is nearly 10 years later since I left Spice Girls and everyone is discussing a reunion. A reunion would be nice yes but will it happen? You never know these days. Melanie C is still not budging exactly when it comes to the reunion. I have been to the recording studio as of late plus I have been working out but it doesn't necessarily mean that there is a Spice Girls reunion. So hold on to your knickers and wait patiently to see what happens. In the mean time, you can find me at Amazingly Ginger. Don't be shy to say hello.
