Definition: "Patheticity" - a measure of the amount of pathetic-ness that one possesses.
Warning: There is a reason for this display of my very pathetic love life... read on and you'll see.
2 - number of "official" relationships I have had in my life
4 - number of guys that I have kissed (6 if you count stage kisses... which I don't)
7 - number of guys that I have been on at least one date with (in my life)
18 - age I was at the time of my first kiss
Damn near 21 - age I was when I kissed boy #2 (coincidentally - relationship #2 as well)
15,238,057 - number of dirty comments/jokes/poems that I have made, said, or written (all talk)
9 - number of weeks that my longest relationship lasted
16 - age I was at the time of my longest relationship
0 - number of times I have said or been told "I love you" by a guy (non-relative)
5 - number of men (including the two that actually went that far) that I have even considered having a relationship with
57,048 - number of men I have had crushes on in my life (celebrities included)
22 - my current age
Alright - there you go... QUITE pathetic, right? Here is my reason for airing that out there for everyone to "enjoy":
TOO MANY - number of times people have jumped to the conclusion that I was "official" with someone or "dating" someone and voiced that.
I do not understand why I cannot hang out/get to know/casually date/whatever with a guy without the entire world thinking that we are together. Is it because my past is so pathetic?
Example ONE: Two days before graduation this year, I attempted to have a "Define the relationship" talk with the guy that I had been seeing for about a month. He told me, and I quote, "You scare me." When I inquired as to why, he said that he has never had more people come up and tell him that he had a girlfriend (or something to that effect) as he had since he started hanging out/non-officially dating me. Trust me, I know the importance of the "official status" - I am the first to squelch that rumor, should I hear it.
We never did become official.
Example TWO: I have a few best friends. One is a boy. I hang out with my best friend a lot when we are both in town... that's what friends do. We have hung out a lot since we became friends about four and a half years ago. He has a girlfriend. Why then, still - after four years or so, is my other best friend, Kasey, fielding reports that Matt and I are dating? This is RIDICULOUS, folks... RIDICULOUS.
The last thing that a girl with an already pathetic love life needs is to worry that the guy she likes is going to be scared away by reports that they are already together. I am very single, everybody. Let this end any rumors that might be floating out there right now.
and scene....
