Grady Sizemore is attractive... yeah, I said it.
I spent yesterday at the lake with Matt and his mom. It was nice. I lost at Scrabble (I WILL beat him someday!) and came in second in Dominoes (not bad for just learning how to play.) The best part of the day, in addition to spending time with one of my best friends, was getting to know his mom better. I have gotten the impression in the past that his mother didn't care for me. Maybe it wasn't justified... I don't know. It has always been a concern of mine. Talking with her yesterday, playing games, watching her tease the crap out of Matt and trying to be myself to show her that I am not a horrible person may have done the trick.
As they were dropping me at my house, his mom actually told me that it was nice spending time getting to know me... it felt like a giant, four-and-a-half year weight was being lifted from my shoulders. FANTASTIC.
The outing to Big Wolf Lake also meant a reunion of sorts between his cousin Erin, whom I have known since I was a baby, and myself. We hadn't talked in like 8 years or so. In that span, she has gotten married and started a job as a teacher. Good for her.
After chatting for a little while, she asked me if I had a boyfriend and got really excited when I told her that I did not. Apparently she wants to hook me up with one of her brother-in-law's friends... haha. Why not?
