At this point there are multiple series under the Rainbow Fairies umbrella. They tend to be very formulaic, which probably accounts for how quickly they've propagated. I've not noticed the human girls needing any real rescuing, but that could be a factor of the subset of the books I've encountered.
The books follow a very predictable formula.
1. A fairy approaches the recurring series heroines.
2. Goblins have stolen three magical objects. Jack Frost is probably involved.
3. The fairy, with all her magical power, needs the help of these human kids who have repeatedly bailed the fairies out.
4. If the girls fail to recover the three magical items by a certain deadline, there will be noticeable, annoying but not life-threatening consequences for humanity.
5. Most the gains the girls make are because the goblins are in-fighting idiots.
6. Adults NEVER pick up on what's going on.
7. A fairy gets frozen by goblin magic at least once, but it's not fatal.
8. The magical items are recovered before the deadline.
