Brew at the Zoo
whuffle and I celebrated our eight year anniversary this past weekend. The zoo was having an event called "Brew at the Zoo." The Zoo closed early and assorted local breweries set up kiosks dispensing samples. There were stands giving out food samples as well.
The Lemurs were fascinated by the drunken people, the gorillas were dubious and did not approve of our shenanigans. I learned that they let the bats out of their enclosure at dusk to fly around the enclosed aviary. I got a photo of Whuffle roaring at an animatronic dinosaur. I discovered a spectacular local cider maker who uses a citrus honey in her cider and a brewery making an IPA that my wife actually LIKES. (Most of the hops were late addition, meaning a lot of hop aroma and flavor, but not much hop bitterness. It was an IPA that didn't blow out your taste buds)
