0043. Nicoletta Ceccolli, & parents moving
I received some AMAZING Nicoletta Ceccolli postcards from a Finnish woman through Postcrossing today. They are truly incredible, I love those paintings so much. They are so dreamy but also a little creepy, weird and wonderful. In a way they remind me of Tim Burton, which can never be a bad thing.
I was talking to my parents on Skype earlier today. They are moving soon! They'll still be staying in Lappeenranta, but they're moving to a flat in the centre of the town. Apparently there would be too much repair work and such to do at their current house, and they don't want to do it. Plus it would be expensive.. Mum said they'll be signing the contract tomorrow, and might move in either next week or in early July. This is so weird - I've lived most of my life in that house; we moved there when I was about 5 years old. To think that I won't see the place again (apart from maybe outside) is a little weird to say the least. On the other hand, it'll be interesting to see how the new place will turn out to be like. I just wish I could go visit them sooner.
