I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before or not, but I have a policy of not commenting on those posts people make that say "I'm doing a friend's clean-up, please comment if you'd like to stick around." I also tend not to respond to those posts people make that say "I'm changing journals, please comment if you'd like to be on the new one".

That doesn't mean that I don't want to be on your friend's list. Its just that if I am on your list, I want that to be your decision based on whether or not you find me interesting. Not the result of my pleas to be kept around. Responding to those kinds of posts makes me feel dirty. And I don't like to feel dirty unless I've been bought dinner first.

I'm bringing this up because for the last month or so it seems like my friends page has been sprinkled with these kinds of posts. But everyone who is on my list is there because I like reading what they have to say. When there is someone on my list who I don't get along with or don't read I delete them. I expect the same thing in return. I don't need an explanation, nor do I feel entitled to one. If you don't like me, if I don't comment enough for your liking, if you believe that rumor about me being a 64-year-old French tranny, just delete me. No hard feelings. C'est la vie.
