This is an especially interesting Friday Five, since I've been recently been frequently hanging out with someone from high school.
This week's questions were suggested by [info]dulcamatrix.
1. Would you return to high school life for a week? Why or why not? For just a week? Sure. Maybe I could re-gain some perspective, and remember what it was like to be especially young and stupid, but also passionate.
2. Who were you in high school?Pretty nerd-tastic, but not especially an outcast. Not especially popular either, but I fit in with my own little group, and we got along with other people. Popular kids were decent to us. My high school was way too big to have any Queen Bee or anything.
3. What was your favorite high school hangout? What did you do there?Usually we hung out at or in the band hall. Hung out, made out, practiced, slept, did homework, avoided the cold, avoided going to class earlier than necessary. The spring semester of my senior year, I hung out in the ROTC classroom in the mornings, since most my friends weren't in band and marching practice was over.
4. What were/are your favorite three songs in high school?"Jimi Thing" by Dave Matthews Band, "The Remedy" by Jason Mraz, and "So Impossible" by Dashboard Confessional. I'm a little surprised I remembered those, actually. I loved driving on the highway blasting Jason Mraz, with my sunroof open and jamming out.
5. What was the craziest thing you did in high school?Geez, there were a lot of amazingly stupid things I did in high school. I honestly can't single one out as particularly crazy. I think the craziest positive thing I did in high school was when I started making out with an incredibly hot guy I'd had a crush on for several years. It started unexpectedly, and went on for a few months. The craziest-stupid thing I did was choosing an asshole boyfriend over him.
