The business of building an environment

One could aptly say it’s been a busy day. I woke up after Meg got back from the gym. We regrouped, and headed out the door to run errands. This began with going to lowes. While there, we picked up some lawn care stuff, a Japanese maple, and a new lawn mower. This pleased me to no end. Post this, we stopped for lunch at shari’s, and planned our next moves.

We left shari’s, and dropped our initial load at home. We next headed for Fred Meyer. There, we picked out the patio set we liked and got it back to the house. We unloaded this, and then headed out again. Out to target for patio chairs, an umbrella, and a fire pit. Target at the airport didn’t have the pagoda fire pit we wanted, so we hoofed it to the target at jantzen beach, and found it. Then, home.

Once home, Meg set to work building the patio furniture. I assembled the lawn mower, and got to work. With the lawns mowed, I then started cleaning the patio while Meg continued on the patio furniture. In the end, the patio furniture was all set up on the deck, and the fire pagoda and secondary chairs were set up on the patio. Likewise, the lawns were mowed too.

The backyard is starting to look more and more like a backyard, and not a trash pit. Sooner rather than later, I might just be inclined to have a barbecue involving other people.

And of course, I’ve typed this up on my iPad, so I haven’t uploaded a picture. Once i sync with my computer, I’ll edit the post with some photos of backyard awesomeness. Woo!
