Plus her garden needed weeding something fierce.So she's on her knees in the dirt around House 32, the knees of her (only pair of) pants already dirty and grass-

[Emil's just wandering by-- normally he wouldn't have taken note of someone gardening, but that gold ring is kind of hard to miss. Don't mind him just kind of looking at it curiously.]

[She notices him, but just offers a smile and nod of her head before returning to her gardening. She'll talk if he decides to stick around, though.]

That, um... that ring. I've never seen anything like it before.

It is a sign of power granted by the god of the moon. [It's more than that, but let's not get into lecture mode.]

Do your people have anything similar? A mark one bears as a sign of their abilities?

[He shakes his head.]

No, I don't think so, unless you count the Cruxis Crystals. Only the Chosen have those, though... it's part of what makes them special.

[Ahh yeah, she knows this stuff. So he's from Kratos' world, huh?]

The Chosen; is that the name of your royalty?

They don't have anything to do with royalty, but they are from special families. There are only two of them at one time, one from Sylvarant and one from Tethe'alla.

Are those your largest kingdoms? [Svala kind of scoots to the side to make room on the patch of grass for him to join her, if he wants to.]

They were the names of the two worlds before they were rejoined-- I guess you can think of them sort of like kingdoms now.

[He'll hesitate for a moment before sitting down in the grass, glad for the chance to rest.]

Rejoined worlds? [That sounds like a pretty sweet story. Svala tilts her head curiously.]

Would you care to elaborate?

Well, from what I was told, the worlds were divided in two a few thousand years ago to keep the mana from drying up completely after the World Tree died. That way they could balance the mana between the two worlds in a cycle: one world would flourish while the other declined, and then it would reverse.

Um, I hope that makes sense. I know it sounds kind of strange to people from other worlds.

I think I understand.

But perhaps you could explain to me the nature of "mana." It is the lifeblood of your world?

It's the source of all life in my world. Without it, nothing could exist-- at least, that's what Tenebrae told me.

That sounds to be quite the predicament.

How did your worlds come to be reunited without facing the same issue of mana depletion?
