[There's a bit of time as she collects her bearings; the pages flip and there's the crunch of twigs before a voice records.] Hello, Luceti.

Would someone be so kind as to bring me footwear? I fear I cannot walk long without. I am somewhat pampered.

[It was another listless day for Kratos. He'd take care of the house if Presea didn't do it already, make food if Presea didn't do it already, train, work on some little things, and make more food if Presea didn't do it already.

It's evening, and Kratos is folding a shirt of his when the open journal catches that voice. Immediately, he stills, then looks back at the journal resting on the counter behind him. It couldn't be. She left months ago.

But what if it was? He hesitates... but decides to take the chance.]

... Footwear?

[It's a safe question. No need for a name, no need for possibly shaming himself if it was the wrong person, and if Presea asked why he said that... Well. Maybe he needed some for himself.]

[And that...is just the voice she wanted to hear. She'd forgotten it, once she returned home...but now, it seems as if she'd heard it only yesterday.]

Hello, Kratos.

[And that confirms it. He takes in a sharp breath at the sound of her voice saying his name. It really is her... But a part of him still denies it. It would've been better if she continued to rule her kingdom and stayed away from this place. And they wouldn't give him such a luxury.]

Where are you? [He has to find her.]

Hmm...just a moment.

[The journal is set down and there's the hesitant crunch of feet on twigs. Then the scrape of feet against bark.

Yes. She is actually attempting to climb a tree.]

...

Svala-

[He didn't think he'd say her name again. Not like this, anyway.]

Don't. I'll find you.

[And there's the rustling sound of him grabbing a coat - two, actually, and footsteps. He knows the way her spirit feels by now. He should be able to find her if he concentrates on it.]

[Don't you tell her what to do, she'll do what she wants anyway. Jerkface.

Adorable jerkface.

Svala calls down to the journal.] I appear to be south of the village. If you do not mind it, I shall wait for you up here. I have less experience climbing down trees than I do up, it seems.

[Dear lord she actually climbed the tree. He looks back at the journal, then lets out a soft sigh. Silly woman. He should've known she'd do that regardless of what he says.]

Yes. I'd rather not find you on the ground with an injury of some kind.

[... He was going to leave his journal behind, but on second thought, he takes it with him as he walks out. Once he's outside his door, he shuts his eyes and concentrates for a moment.

And up in a tree is her specific energy signature. He only relishes feeling it for a second before he looks up and goes on his way.]

[Svala's not going anywhere. She's just doing to adjust her seat on the branch to sit as primly as possible, smoothing out the dress and crossing her legs while hanging onto the trunk of the tree. C'mon now Kratos, chop chop.]

[Hold your horses, woman, he's hurrying. It might take him some time to get there - he's pretty much right in the middle of the village, after all. But he's following her signature. He knows exactly where he's going.

And once he can see her... Kratos slows down until he's near the trunk of the tree and looking up at her.]

Svala...

[Svala watches him on his approach, leaning forward just a bit to smile down at him. She tilts her head.]

Hello. Shall I jump down?

[Well, that was unexpected. And he's still caught up in the fact that he's actually looking at her that it catches him off guard.]

Of... course.

[He situates himself so that he can catch her.]

[It's a test!

Not really. But she does shift a bit before simply pushing off of the branch. ...not exactly something she does often, so she's hoping that's really Kratos down there or she might end up with a broken leg.]

[Kratos watches her fall, holding his arms out to catch her, and when he does, he moves so that he can absorb some of the impact. Once he straightens himself out again, he looks down at her face, and whatever words he might have saved for this moment being caught in his throat. She's here in his arms, he can feel her weight and her warmth, feel and hear the sound of her breathing...

And she's just as beautiful as she was when she left.]

...hm. That was exciting. [Svala looses one hand from gripping Kratos' arms to straighten out her dress. Then, noticing his rumpled collar, smooths out his shirt as well.] There.

Now then. [She pulls him down for a kiss.]

[How forward, Svala! Not that Kratos minds. He does pause for a second, if only to confirm that this is happening, before he shuts his eyes and leans in slightly to return that kiss, holding her in such a way that it's easier for her to reach him. How long has it been since they last kissed? Since he last dreamed of finding her and greeting her in such a way? It seems she beat him to it, though.]

[It's another test!

A much more pleasant, less terrifying one. She gives them long enough to really get a good feel for each other before pulling back, reaching up to touch his cheek and taste her lips. ...hmmmm. Yep, that's about right.] I apologize for my behavior. [Though she's not sorry, not really. Still, she probably should have given him some time to take in her presence before jumping him like that. Though, to her credit, she hasn't tried to touch his soul yet. That would be just a little too forward indeed.]
