Logic dictates that, huh?

Don't worry, you'll get a chance at a curse soon, I'm sure.

Indeed. Logically, if there is a problem, then one should take steps to neutralize it.

Is the ticking a problem?

I assume it can be overcome with sufficient meditation, however it is... quite distracting.

Y'know, getting a pet helps, if you don't feel like having a roomie.

I could see you with starfish, Spock. Carefully analyzing water temperatures...

A... "roomie?"

Curious. Starfish are native to Earth rather than Vulcan, though you believe they would be more fitting?

Yeah, a roommate. A...live in companion. That'll stop the ticking, anyway.

Tell you the truth, I don't know many Vulcan pets. And I know 'tribble' is a bad suggestion.

I see.

... Indeed. The only pet I have previously owned has been a sehlat.

I thought Dr. McCoy was your pet.

What's a sehlat?

He would be, I should think, most incensed to hear that. You are familiar with him as well?

... A sehlat is most comparable to an Earth "teddy bear," though it is quite alive and posses a pair of six-inch fangs.

That's half the fun. And yeah, I am. The sexploits of the Enterprise have a special place in my heart.

...That doesn't sound like much fun.

Curious. Perhaps you could explain to me how someone from your time has come to know of the Enterprise at all.

They are, indeed, quite aggressive.

Sure. Where I come from, you--and everything you do--are on TV. For entertainment. ...I mean, that doesn't change that it happened to you, but I imagine it's probably kinda weird, so ...better you learn it from a fan than somebody who's got it in for you.

... I see. And this TV - television, if I am not mistaken? - obtained such records, despite being in the past?

Sorta.

Where I'm from it never happened. I mean, it was all fake movie stuff. Props, and special effects. I know it happened to you, unless I'm crazy and this afterlife thing is just me doing a slow rock in a padded room...

"A slow rock in a padded room?" I am afraid I do not understand the... reference.
