Faster, faster!
Helicopters are circling the neighborhood, and yet I'm too distracted by trying to sign up for Yuletide to even wonder why.
Oh, Yuletide. I always seem to miss the window for submitting fandoms, and then when I go to see what's available to request/offer, it's this discombobulating experience of "Huh?" There are a lot of comics/graphic-novels/anime fandoms, most of which I don't know but which would be confounding to me anyway. Writing fanfic for an animated medium just glitches for me. If I've seen a film version with actors, it's possible, but otherwise... *brainlock* There are TV shows I don't watch, books I've never read or didn't like (hi, Susan Cooper!), and other puzzling things. Though I'm pretty sure I have these same thoughts every year. :D
Mainly, it's the pressure of, "But could I write a minimum-thousand-word story for this?" Because we all know my micro-ficcing tendencies. OTOH, I see that "Cities, Anthropomorphic" is a category, and I actually wrote something for that last year as an extra treat. Still... probably a fluke.
Bayern Munich RPF is on the list, and that rings a bell because it's the soccer team my daughter has gone nuts over (verified via Google, because how many teams have a player named Schweinsteiger ("pig overseer," or pig farmer))?
Nonetheless, I _will_ find something. And you should, too. Only two days left, and that's probably on European time!
