Oh! This is everything that's wrong with the brothers' relationship. And everything that's right! And the summary is a wonderful insight in itself!

It would have been a real shame if Michael couldn't have enjoyed the visual stimilation too, wouldn't it?!!

Thanks for helping to celebrate the anniversary in such a naughty way, sweetheart. :)

I'd sure never pass on those visuals. Whoo!

So glad you liked it, and I'm sorry it's late. But better than not at all! :D

He was breaking all the rules for the sake of the one person his entire life had always revolved around. He'd chosen Lincoln over everything, and he made that choice again every single day.

Given that, he'd certainly earned the right to leave all the lights on and enjoy the view.

Mmmm. Yes.

The wrongness of their relationship was always there in the background. Funny how they'd reached a point where even that didn't matter.

I like this because it acknowledges said wrongness but also stresses that what they have is stronger anyway. And this works whether you use an incestuous take or not, Michael having to know that the lengths is ready to go to for Lincoln aren't healthy.

Given that, he'd certainly earned the right to leave all the lights on and enjoy the view.

That last sentence is so possessive and shameless, almost ruthless.

Loved it ♥

On a side note, this has a special echo for me: one of my first M/L fic - Twilight - had Lincoln insisting that they turned off the lights, and Michael, eventually, not caring that much :-p

the lengths is ready to go to for Lincoln aren't healthy.
In any sense, they really aren't. All of the people who died or were emotionally destroyed because of Michael's need to save Lincoln sure attests to that.

Your comment tempted me to read that story, since that moment didn't seem familiar. I'm glad I did-- wow. It was fantastic!

I'm so glad you liked it-- and that I still get one of these out, once in awhile.

Rewatching sounds wonderful! I keep thinking I'll rewatch the end of S1 and finish by canon-parallel series, but not so far... :)
