In her pure, white disguise, Lilith waited to free him.
Lucifer watched from the dark fortress of his realm as each moment in the earthly drama brought him closer to unleashing the battle within.
Humans were weak-he'd always said so. He'd just never imagined their weakness would ultimately restore his power to eradicate God's folly, once and for all.
He listened as Lilith wove her circle-in words now, with blood soon to follow.
She'd been his handmaiden, lover, confidante, and hope.
Her final sacrifice would place her beyond his touch, forever transfiguring both her essence and his fate.
