It wasn't just the surprise of what she saw that bothered her. Usually there was also no telling who it was about or what it meant.
Missouri would've called them "visions" if it helped (it most certainly did not), and what was she supposed to do about crazy folks in some far-off mystery town shooting each other anyway? It was ridiculous.
There'd been demons over the years (more lately), red skies, and winged warriors of God. Those signs she understood, like every preacher/prophet/penitent, but by then she could only pray.
Foresight was useless. There was no stopping what lay ahead.
