All The Whos Lay A-Snooze...

Oct 05, 2009 10:10

Gah, why am I so sleepy these days? I can't seem to wake up at all, and I start falling asleep in front of the TV at 9:30 every night. I think it's the time of year.

I also think tomorrow morning's 6:30am worldwide teleconference, and then my Wincon trip to the Denver timezone, aren't going to help much. :0

I thought I'd gotten a lot done this weekend, up until now. Boy, I wish I still had Mondays off! We went to Christopher's soccer game Saturday morning (a tie-- he scored his team's only goal, on an awesome assist from another boy). Then I went running (cracked the 9-minute mile, thanks to chillier temps), showered, took Lauren to the library and to Target, and watched Cal tank against USC. Last week's horrific loss against Oregon (MY alma mater) apparently was no fluke. :0

Sunday we took Tower Cafe french toast to my M-I-L and visited for awhile (she's still hanging in there, but very tired). Christopher was obnoxious all day and HSH was grumpy, and eventually that wore me down. I did a bunch of laundry and gathered stuff for Goodwill from the kids' rooms, and made more progress in "updating" Christopher's room from its "nursery" look (which he adored up until about 5 months ago, and I'm surprised he held out that long).

AFTER I was done with all that, and it was getting on toward 5pm, was when I discovered that Christopher has a packing list for his Yosemite trip in two weeks that he forgot to give us, and we're WAY behind on the prep. And I won't be home next weekend! Then a late-night post on my f-list about Denver temperatures warned me that I don't have a pair of jeans that fits (I did, but I regained 10 lbs and now I don't). Apparently I'm going to need those! Grrrr.

And the reason I know this is because we went from 100-degree temps as of Sunday 9/27 to 70-degrees and below, and yesterday was 65-ish. My house is now freezing, and long pants are suddenly imperative.

Always behind, I tell you. Still don't have a Wincon roommate, so it looks like I'll be on my own there. Better than 4 people in a room, though-- I'm a light sleeper, and that would be a disaster. :(
