You're welcome! It wound up being a decent-length interlude, too.

I can imagine the war that each of these men has with himself. Rhodey has seen the parade of Tony's partners, and the restlessness and all the toys-- how can he possibly compete? And Tony is just sure the other shoe's going to drop: Rhodey has only ever been interested in women before, so how long before he goes back to that? And Tony knows he can't possibly live up to the high opinion Rhodey has always held of him. The twinges of angst may always lurk at the edges...

But on the other hand, the now is inarguably wonderful-- great toys, great purpose, and most of all... each other.

I'd love to spend a Sunday afternoon eavesdropping on theirs. ;)

I so love these two together, and it's painful to have the fandom sort of die away. They're still pretty and shiny, and the new movie hasn't come out yet. Let's enjoy them while we can!
