I loved the brief glimpse we had of Lincoln and Sara in S1, on the eve of his execution. There was something so attuned between them then, and it said so much about her character. :)

This is perfect, thank you. I really liked Sara and Lincoln's interaction in S1. Somewhere along the line, I think the writers botched a real opportunity to develop something (a friendship and nothing more) between them. I haven't loved their interaction S4.
Thank you so much!
*hugs you*

Me too. The scene I mentioned above to Jen showed such potential, and I'm sorry they never made more of it. It's as if, once they became fixated on developing romance between Michael and Sara, they couldn't figure out how to enhance the friendship with Lincoln that we'd already seen, Which is very black and white thinking, and not very creative. :(
Well, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I love friendship stories between these two (though I'm usually writing the Het stories for someone else, it seems), and the Gen interactions are all too rare.
Hope it was a wonderful day! :D

I'd hoped that Lincoln's roundabout rambling would convey that to her and to the reader. It's too unpolished for a lie, and it's SO Lincoln at the same time.
Though she's professional here, she's also very kind-- and that combination is one of the things I've always liked most about her character. She's heard the B.S. and the crudeness day in and day out, and still manages to rise above it. It's both admirable and inspiring. :)
Thanks so much for reading!

I so miss this side of S1 Sara, before she became all about Michael. Her compassion was my favorite thing about her, and that emphasis got lost when her character got so Michael-focused.
