Not many expectations during the war, but after surviving it he'd dared to hope. He had a beautiful wife, then a cute little boy and then a baby.
The future didn't play out right.
His wife was murdered-stolen-and everything changed.
Years of seeking vengeance, all for her memory, while time kept passing. The boys grew older, braver… more wary.
Then it was over, long before he'd even thought possible, and far too late. He'd never noticed the unplanned life he and the boys had actually been living all that time…
