I wish I could have finished it in time, but too much RL interference.
Schmoopy porn wins, I say. \o/ Especially with these two. :)

Waking up to schmoopy porn puts a smile on my face too. :D There's never a bad time for it, at least in my book. \o/

Also? I don't know if this is tmi, but you should be proud of yourself. My router has been broken for a couple weeks now (dealing with the warrenty takes forever) so if I want to use the internet, I have to sit on the floor by the wall next to the entry way of our home (ie, out in the open). Today both my mother and little brother are home sick. And you got me to read porn. Out in the open. With them home. Congrats. I can honestly say that's never happened before.

It's interesting to see how our non-traditional, semi-cynical and much jaded boys negotiate very traditional and sentimental holidays (here I'm thinking of mooyoo's christmas piece as well). Good job.
Yes-- I loved that part of mooyoo's Xmas piece as well. They do honor the holiday, but there's always this layer of self-deprecating denial about how they do it, and I seriously love that. It's so very "guy-like."

Whahoobies! That makes it all worthwhile, I tell you. I was up late the last two nights, I was late to work finishing this-- Gah. RL beat my scheduling down but good this week.
So this little tidbit is total affirmation that yes-- what other people get out of it is definitely worth the effort. ♥

As regards to the holiday discussion, I love how you captured it. I mean, Dean's first move is to mock Sam senseless, but Sam mentions sex and then the holiday is worth acknowledging (granted, with a little convincing). :D
Your efforts are always appreciated. Even if I can't always keep up with you (I read the other day you made it to you hundreth PB fic---WHOA!). ;)

Oh, god-- how could he not? Because there are parts of Sam that really like all the romantic stuff (it's part of "Normal," after all), and that is so very not Dean (at least, not when anyone's looking). On the other hand, I'm convinced that Dean would have found some totally bogus necessary reason that Sam needed a good massage the next day, which would totally be about sore muscles and nothing else that is entirely unmentionable. ;)

Sam definitely knows Dean's weaknesses too, doesn't he?
I read the other day you made it to you hundreth PB fic---WHOA!. ;)Shocking, isn't it? With the drabbles and all, I hit 100 on Supernatural first, I think. That's just going on what's over at the Sam and Dean slash archive, where I can't post anything that isn't about the two boys together (i.e., no John-only or Mary-only type fics). But most of the Prison Break ones are actual stories. Some ( ... )

Oh, thank god. I was struggling so hard to finish it up (I went to bed around 1am), and I just couldn't get the "bridging" porn or a definitive finish done on time. I think I flunked the spn_vday requirements for that.
But as I was finishing, I thought, "I wonder if Rachel would like this as her birthday fic?" because I thought today was The Day. I checked my "LJ Birthdays" when I got into work, and Thank God. It's tomorrow! *is very relieved*
I love the awkwardness, and Dean's absolute fright at doing something wrong and hurting Sam.
That was very much laid out in the prompt, and it really set the tone of the whole sex scene. And I can so believe Dean being afraid constantly of setting something off that'll have Sam running out the door again and leaving him. I would hate to live with that kind of worry.
also love how clinical Sam is about the whole thing in the beginning, even going so far as to use the word "consummate," like he really has been planning out how to approach Dean about this. The Sam here ( ... )

Yeah, exactly. Dean would be so desperate not to hurt Sam in any way, not to scare him off, no matter how much Sam says he wants it (or how much Dean himself wants it).
The Sam here is such a planner, and he's so pre-lawyerly in his attempts to steer Dean into it.
Hee, totally. I like that he has things so thought out, right down to who will top and who will bottom, and has to convince Dean of which way to go.
So nice of you to read this one
:) I've been reading so sporadically lately, and missed so much of your stuff. But I'm not doing much today, so hopefully I can catch up on some things.

This is such a sweet first time fic. I admit, I'm a sucker for first-time fics, and I knew, too, that yours would be wonderful--as it was. I giggled through some parts of it just because of how nervous Dean was throughout. But, sex can be funny anyway, right? Sure. *grin* Excellent job. :)

I have that feeling about all the really emotional holidays-- which I think is just Christmas and Valentine's Day, though the candy can definitely keep pouring in for Halloween & Easter. :D

I so can't blame him. And it's funny that his usual response to things that make him nervous is to avoid, avoid, avoid. So Sam getting all tactical on how he's going to manipulate Dean into this just makes it worse! There's a definite no-win feeling about this for poor Dean.
Thank goodness he's wrong.... ;)

Oh, man-- there is a classic scene in one of my carPorns, "Detour," that has a conversation about exactly that. I figure that if the idea makes me laugh while I'm writing it, it's probably okay to include it.
Thanks for reading, and I'm so glad it was worthy! My schmoopy icon tells it all...
