Mikey was in the dorms. The dorms were shiny. They had indoor plumbing and hallways and actual doors and windows and all kinds of things that one didn't have in a sewer

"Screaming ... yes. Bad. Very bad." Rikku took a deep breath and tried to be way, way less mortified than she felt. "Okay. Uh. Lemme start that over?"
"Hi. I'm Rikku and you knew that 'cause of the mutiny but you might've forgot, so that's okay. I totally didn't knock or anything 'cause I don't usually knock 'cause it's just Jude's room and Jude's, uh, like, my boyfriend? And yeah, the Jude from the mutiny-thing. And. Uh. There's totally a bed over there, honest, I've seen it, I just have no idea how you'd find it, or anything. And I don't know where Jude is right now, 'cause if I did, I wouldn't have though you were him? And, uh. Okay. I'm gonna stop talking or I'll flail again. But I'm so sorry and I didn't mean to totally freak out at you or anything. A lot. And I was gonna take off but I can't really hide under my bed and never see you again 'cause you're in cheerleading and besides I'm kinda around here a lot 'cause of, you know, the whole boyfriend thing? Uh. Yeah. And. Not that I'll be annoying or anything, honest. Um. Sorry?"
She facepalmed again. "I'm ... not helping any, am I?"
Rikku laughed. Still mostly bright red. "Okay, then. Dude, I wear lots of orange. People kinda look at me funny but hey, I don't mind that. Gives 'em something to look at, right? We orange-lovers gotta stick together."
She surveyed the mess. "I don't know how it gets like this. He, uh, I'm sure he would've cleaned or something if he knew you were coming, or whatever? Or might have? And there is a bed there, promise. I've seen it."
She squeezed her eyes shut. "Okay, did that sound as bad as I think it did? Because it's not like that or anything? And, uh, wow. I am so bad at this."
"Heh- naah, it's cool," Mikey said with a grin, waving a hand at her dismissively. He was a very forgiving turtle. "I'll find the bed at some point, I think. Think you could point me in the right direction, at least? Over there, or over there? Or under that stuff over there?"
Rikku chewed her lip, thinking. "Okay, if he didn't move it? Then when Bayla was here, it was ... over here." She started moving random debris out of the way, carefully. "Like, this general area, around that point to the wall right there? I can't imagine him moving it since then. Right? So it should be here."

Dude. Jude-dude's dudette was a talker.
"I think I'll forgive you this time," he decided at length, "by virtue of the fact that you wear orange, and that makes you totally radical. Okay?"

She eyed the mess again. "I hope so, anyway."
